Throughout this week, we look back and celebrate seven magical moments for Israel Start-Up Nation in 2021, presented by Vini Fantini.

The seventh and final Magical ISN Moment we have picked from this season is naturally the iconic scenes from the muddy Paris-Roubaix.

Fighting against the rivals, the pavés and the challenging conditions, the ISN riders put on an extraordinary performance with Guillaume Boivin and Tom Van Asbroeck at the very front of the race.

Ultimately, both riders made Top-10 as Van Asbroeck finished in eighth place with Boivin in ninth.

Tom Van Asbroeck: “During the race, there was just one thing on my mind: Stay focused, don’t make a mistake and stay on the bike!” I was so focused on the road and my surroundings that it didn’t leave a lot of time for other emotions. The only other thing I felt was fear before hitting the first pavé-sector. However, halfway through this sector it became enjoyable because I actually had a lot of fun out there.”

Guillaume Boivin: Looking at the photos now, I would just love to be back there again. It was pretty scary beforehand, but during the race, it was so much fun. We were in the game, me and Tom, and I thought we might have a chance to win this bike race. From the second photo [below], I just remember being cracked. My wrist was hurting and I just wanted to go home. It was pretty devastating at the finish but I would do it all over again tomorrow if I could. Next year’s Paris-Roubaix can’t come quick enough!”
