The Chosen One
Israeli custom apparel company Jinga will supply Israel Start-Up Nation with cycling apparel in 2021. They will suit up the full team: the WorldTour and Continental riders, and the staff. Jinga is returning as a clothing sponsor as the brand perfectly matches the team’s vision.
Clothing manufacturer Jinga was part of Israel Start-Up Nation’s quick growth throughout the last few seasons but stepped back when the team reached the highest level of professional cycling; the WorldTour. However, ISN’s co-owners Sylvan Adams and Ron Baron value investing in the development of Israeli technology and are therefore realigning with Jinga.
Jinga says the 2021 season will be a milestone for the company. “Jinga was founded with the goal of working with top athletes and supporting the young riders who work so hard to become professionals”, Aviad Izrael, CEO from Jinga says.
“The variation and quality of products we are creating for ISN pushes us to the best of our ability. From here we’ll be able to pass that on to our broader customer community.”
Develop Israeli technology
Approaching what is expected to be a revolutionary season, ISN had multiple offers from cycling apparel brands around the world; but the decision to choose Jinga was not a difficult one to make.
“We chose Jinga as the exclusive supplier for the team kit in order to work with an Israeli company and, together, develop a line of products that will benefit our riders at the world’s top races,” says ISN co-owner Ron Baron.
Jinga, a company that was founded to manufacture custom apparel, has grown significantly over the past few years and its spirit matches the team’s values and soul. It takes an innovative approach to design and has developed a large line of high-quality products. For ISN, a team that has quickly jumped to the top-tier of its sport, the partnership just feels right.
Israeli climber Guy Niv confirms that Jinga is listening to the riders’ needs. “It is an Israeli brand with high-quality clothing,” says the first Israeli rider to finish the Tour de France. “I especially like their skin suits as they are fast and comfortable. The connection between Jinga and the team is strong, and that makes it easy to communicate with them.”
Team manager Kjell Carlström is happy with Jinga returning to ISN. “Israel Cycling Academy, our Continental team, wore Jinga clothing last season as well. Our experiences with Jinga have always been great. We were satisfied when we raced in their kits a few years ago, and we will be happy to do so again in 2021.”
Looking forward to 2021
“Jinga wants to be part of Israel Start-Up Nation’s incredible journey, as we feel strongly connected to the team for many reasons, including the development of Israeli talent and all the side-projects of the team in Israel.”
Jinga is especially looking forward to suiting up the Israeli riders in 2021. “All four of them had an amazing season in 2020, three of them even finished Grand Tours. Finishing a Giro d’Italia, a Tour de France or a Vuelta a Espana is a huge test. I am sure their engines have grown a lot. I am obviously very curious to see what they can achieve next season.”
The new ISN kit was presented few days ago and got huge exposure. The 2021 kit will appear in the webshop on www.israelcyclingacademy.com in the second week of January. .
