AEW WE READY FOR THE CHALLENGE?!

In 7 days time, we will have the ultimate answer to this question but whatever the answer is, we can promise you a great ride. So let’s look at the task in hand :

Race:

Seven stages starting today in SNOWBIRD with a climbing prologue and ending in PARK CITY Sunday.

In between:

Climbing, Climbing and more Climbing. Actually: 37,882 feet of elevation.  Is that enough for you?

Queen:

Probably the second stage Wednesday ending with a 14 km climb to POWDER MOUNTAIN Ski area.

Rivals and level :

This is an HC level race with two pro tour teams (Trek and EF) with 5 pro-Conti and GC riders that can take it all, as the Colombian Dani Martinez.

ICA:

We came with a climbing team around our number one man BEN HERMANS. Israeli Guy Niv, Matteo Badilatti, and Nathan Earle will give him all the support to contend for the victory. Our Colombian Edwin Avila will be our weapon for the selective sprints.

Preparations :
The team landed here a week ago to adapt to the altitude.

Ben Hermans: “Training was good. I am here for eight days now. Should be adapted to time difference, heat and altitude. Last year I finished 2nd, and this year I would like to do just one spot better. But that is what many riders aim for, isn’t it?“

Guy Niv: “ We came with a great leader, Ben Hermans, and we will do everything to get a GC podium here. The altitude will be a factor. Me? I am super excited about coming back to the race that started my pro career.

There will be a live broadcast on TV (Eurosport) and live reports on our Facebook page.

ICA Lineup :

Ben Hermans, Belgium
Guy Niv, Israel
Nathan Earle, Australia
Edwin Avila, Colombia
Guillaume Boivin, Canada
Hamish Schreurs, New Zealand
Matteo Badilatti, Switzerland
