Goldstein 13th in last stage mountaintop finish
Edo Goldstein climbed to 13th place on the steep mountaintop finish in the third and final stage of the Tour of Malopolska Sunday, making him 15th in the overall GC.
“It was nice to see him fight to the finish, and how he accepted the responsibility,” said Sport Director Zak Dempster of the 20-year old. “It’s a good sign for the future and he should be encouraged by his performance.
On Saturday’s second stage, Yuval Ben Moshe, 21, sprinted to tenth place. All our riders finished in the same time as the winner.
“There was a bit of miscommunication among the guys, which cost us in the sprint. It was a really good chance for a top three given Yuval’s form, but things don’t always run smoothly!,” Dempster said of Saturday’s stage.
Edwin Avila did not start after suffering a concussion during a crash in stage one.
