French rider takes second victory of the season
Rudy Barbier left no doubt about who was strongest in the fourth and final stage of the Tour of Slovakia, winning the bunch sprint by a noticeable margin. It was the second victory for the Frenchman this season.
Poor communication in the previous day’s finale left Rudy “frustrated,” he said. “We all discussed it and today we worked together. I am in great shape and we must take advantage of this. The hard finish on the cobbles was perfect for me.”

The 170 km stage featured three cat. 3 climbs with a very lumpy run-in to the uphill finish – as Rudy said, perfect for him.
Jenthe Biermans was our top GC man at 10th and young and up coming French talent Alexis Renard finished 13th .
