Two Top Ten in GC and final stage
ICA wins Team Ranking in Poland
Our Czech climber Daniel Turek finished fifth in the closing mountain stage of the Albertina Baltyk – Karkonosze Tour, which moved him to the fifth place in the final GC, with the Colombian Edwin Avila ranked eighth on the stage and ninth overall. And the team can proudly take home the Best Team award!
The final stage, which was also the Queen Stage, was only 89km, but sabotage our chances to do better, according to Sport Director Zak Dempster.
“The guys rode quite well and really lit up the race. We had the numbers in the final and could play it out. It’s a shame the stage was so short, because I think a more normal race distance would have played right into our hands. Overall, it was nice to see how well the guys did, and they should be happy with their progress.”
