MONT VENTOUX, HUGO ON MISSION AND KRISTS IS BACK

RACE: Tour de la Provence

What: 4 stages with not a dull moment.

Starting TODAY with a bunch sprint stage, followed by two grueling climbing stages including the legendary Mont Ventoux, and finishing with an up and down “everything is possible” stage Sunday.

ISN Goal: STEALING a stage victory will be huge. The hopes lay on Hugo Hofstetter and his teammates behind him today or at the last stage.

Rivals: 13 World Tour teams arriving with big-time climbers. We are out of the picture GC wise, but BREAKAWAYS may well be our wild card weapon.

Wild card 2:

Our FAVORITE Latvian Krists Neilands is getting the first action after a 😷 slowed his preparations. “I will use this race to build shape,” he said.

This is basically the story for the rest of the squad here, especially Israeli climber Guy Niv who is still far from top form. “I am where I want to be right now,” he said… “But I will do my best, and I can’t wait to climb the Ventoux for the first time”!!
